Osteopathy is a way of detecting, treating and preventing a variety of musculoskeletal problems anywhere in the body, by manipulating, stretching and massaging the muscles and joints.
Osteopaths can advise on rehabilitation exercises and we may advise combining treatments with Pilates, Yoga or Core conditioning classes.
Postural Correction massage (Medium/firm pressure) involves assessment and treatment of postural in-balances, such as arched back, rounded shoulders and sway back. A thorough assessment is carried out followed by deep pressure to specific postural muscles that are under stress and tension. Stretching and strengthening exercises will be provided to assist in the re-balancing of your posture.
Sports massage (Medium/firm pressure) is designed to assist in correcting problems and imbalances in soft tissue that are caused from repetitive and strenuous physical activity and trauma. The application of sports massage, prior to and after exercise, can enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury.
Deep tissue massage (medium/firm pressure) is intensive, tailor-made treatment designed to work on the deepest layers of muscles, tendons and fascia. Recommended to release chronic pain, persistent tension, knots and treat problematic areas such as lower back, neck, shoulders and leg muscles.
Swedish Massage (medium pressure) Most common and best-known kind of massage. During the treatment therapists use basic strokes such as effleurage, frictions, petrissage, and tapotement to work on particular parts or whole body to release the tension and reduce muscle pain. Excellent choice for first massage.
Aromatherapy Relaxing massage (Light/medium pressure) Classic holistic treatment with use of essential oils recommended for stress relief and relaxation of entire body. Therapists use gentle, slow, long strokes to help you to rejuvenate and unwind.
